Your Purpose is the engine that drives success

The “bull’s eye” may not be hit by the rifleman whose hand is uncertain, and his footing infirm.  The goal will never be reached by the runner who swerves from a straight course, and wanders into a pathless wilderness.  The student will accomplish nothing who flies from study to study with the restlessness of disease; and no man, whatever his condition or mental powers, will win or deserve success, unless he fixes upon some special object to be carried out, and through cloud and sunshine steadily perseveres in his settled purpose.

Purpose, indeed, is the very essence the main element of a heroic character.  It was purpose which animated Ignatius Loyola in his ascetic labors; in persecution, and captivity, and physical suffering, still toiling at the fulfillment of his cherished design, the establishment of that “Society of Jesus,” whose influence on the world’s history has been so signal and remarkable.  Martin Luther’s purpose” achieved the Reformation.  Oliver Cromwell’s purpose” turned the tide of battle at Naseby, and placed him in the seat of the English Kings.  Mahoney’s “purpose” built up a mighty empire and fixed the firm foundations of a new creed.  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “purpose” was to build a powerful non violent movement and bring people of color excess to the ballot box.  Barack Obama “purpose” was to create a movement of change that would propel him to the President of the United States of America and the leader of the free world.

The man who concentrates his energies upon the fulfillment of an unalterable design will assuredly wring success from the hands of a reluctant fortune.  Such a man will take no heed of “impossibilities.”  “Impossible?” exclaimed Napoleon, “there is nothing impossible; it is a word only found in the dictionary of fools.” Jesus said, “If you have the faith of a grain of mustard seed, nothing will be impossible for you.”  The difference between genius and mediocrity lies chiefly in this matter of “purpose” for true genius has, what mediocrity usually wants, the capacity of labor.  “Work and purpose” is the moral of every heroic life.

We are saved by God’s Grace

Paul says in Romans, chapter five, that we are justified by faith (v. 1). Faith means trusting God to love us, because of what he did in Jesus Christ, and entrusting ourselves wholeheartedly to that divine love. Salvation is by grace — we do not deserve God’s favor toward us and we can never earn it. We access this grace by faith, which means that we must always look outside ourselves for our salvation (2 Tim. 1:12).

We cannot perform the work which results in our salvation, for Jesus has already done that, once for all time. We cannot add to that finished work, or improve on it. We can only trust God to be gracious to us as he promises in Christ. If we picture grace as the room of God’s favor, we may think of faith as the door into that room (Rom. 5:1-2).

God accepts us because of Christ’s work on our behalf. We enjoy that grace by accepting it as fact, trusting it as sufficient, and throwing ourselves on it in total and eternal abandon, to become servants of righteousness and true holiness in Christ. We do not earn God’s favor. We can not ever please Him enough to be given His blessings. We certainly could never pay for our own sins and be saved. But in Christ God has brought together the justice that is his nature and the weakness that is ours: Christ became a man and took our place.

God’s grace deals with the weakness of our flesh because salvation does not depend on our weak flesh — Jesus has earned it for us already! It also takes into account God’s holiness, because sin is punished — by the death of God’s sinless Son! And so Paul can say to the Ephesians’ Christians:

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast (Eph. 2:8-9).

How to loose weight by changing your thinking

In everything we do, it is not the actual physical actions themselves that create the results, but it is the mindset we have while doing it. The physical actions themselves are a means by which we channel the energy of intent into physical manifestation. It is the energy of intent we do things with that determines the outcome we get. This is the secret that explains why different people can do the same exact things but get very different results. In truth, Mind is Principle over everything in life that we engage in.

Learning to use your mind power to control your physical body is your key to your weight reduction.  There is no genie in the bottle that is going to help you loose weight.  You can listen to all the commercials and so call experts tell you about the greatest methods they have discovered that will help you loose weight and you can end up spending hundreds and even thousands of dollars trying to drop those extra pounds and yes for a short time you might be able to loose a few of those pounds because someone has convienced you that you really could and you yourself has told yourself that you were going to do it this time.

Look around any city and you will see all kinds of gym springing up.  Radio and TV commercials advertising great rates for the first time user, you see some people with great looking bodies coming out of those beautiful places and you say wow, I want to get my body looking like that.  Well guest what, you can get your body into any desired physical condition that you may desire.  And yes, going to the gym will help, but it is not the key to your body becoming physically sculptured.

The first thing you must remember is the word, “Desire” keep this word in the fore front of your mind.  Pray on it, meditate on it, and write it down and all the time ask yourself, what is it that I desire?  Why do I desire it?  When you answer these questions, allow that desire to become a burning desire within you.  So much so, that every where you go, and everything that you do, you will feel that burning desire deep within your soul to make a change in your life.  It is that burning desire to make that change that will propel you into action in such away that you will begin to feel thinner, you will look into the mirror and see yourself at the desired weight loss and sculptured figured you desired for yourself.

The second thing you must remember is the word, “Belief.”  You see nothing happens until you can believe within your mind that it can happen.  You can go to the gym and work out daily, take all kinds of diet pills, sign onto all the weight loss programs in the world, but until you believe it in your own mind that you really can lose 10, 20, 50, 100 pounds or any desired amount nothing is going to happen.  The reason so many people become so discussed with there weight loss programs, is that the people don’t always tell you the whole truth.  All they care about is getting your money and then you are really left on your own.  Another reason is that a great many of them don’t understand the secret to weight loss and therefore how can they really help you when they have not come into the reality of how the power of the minds works.  You must believe it in order to conceive it and then have it.  Set your weight lost goal, set a reasonable time frame in which to achieve it, then believe in your mind that you are going to achieve it and then wow, you would have achieve what everyone has been telling you that could not be done.

The third thing you must remember is the word, “Faith.”  Faith must be your central focus point to keeping you on track towards reaching your desired goal.  Remember what faith is:  “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  (Hebrews 11:1).”  This is not a definition of faith, but it is a description of what faith does when one takes it and truly believes that it will work for them.  This word substance means “essence” or “reality.”  Faith treats things hoped for as reality.  When your reality is centered upon your weight reduction program and you do not allow doubt to enter into your desired goal, the results will be faith in action.  The word “Evidence” means “proof” or “conviction.”  Faith itself proves that what is unseen is real.  What ever you have fixed in your mind to make happen in reducing your weight to your desired goal, although it may not be seen with the physical eye at this very moment, but the minds eye sees it, accepts it, and then begins to execute your request to bring it into reality at your desired date and time.

The fourth thing you must remember is the word, “Intent.”  What is your intent for wanting to loose weight?  What purpose will it serve you?   Your intent must be clear and communicated to your mind through a clear thought process.  Allowing your mind the opportunity to gather unto it self all the necessary forces of energy it needs to transform you into the person you desire to be.  Be certain about what you want and why you want it.  Let your intent become crystal clear in your mind.

The fifth and final point you must remember is the word, “Transform.”  The word transform simply means to change.  You see if you want to lose weight for any reason, there must be a change in your thinking.  Everything begins and ends in the mind.  In order for you to lose weight, you have to think it.  If you want a sculptured body, thinking about how you would look, the clothes you would wear and how others would be attracted to you.  Your mind is an energy field.  It attracts to it the thoughts that are broad cast into it by your very own thoughts.  A negative thought attracts negative things.  Positive thoughts attract positive things.  Therefore if you think eating health foods will help you be health and help to reduce your weight, it will do just that.  The law of attraction is at work here.  Weather it is good or bad, your mind will produce the desired results that you ask it to do.  The Bible teaches us to ask, believe and we shall receive.  You were created with the mind of God.  A mind that can create, build up and tear down.  What ever you want your mind to do, it is there at your command waiting for instructions from you.  You have the power to change what ever circumstances that you are now facing.  Nothing in your life is impossible to you.  The transforming from the old to the new begins with you.  It all begins in your mind.  You must change your thinking from the, “I can’t” to the “I can.”  I can do all things through God who strengths me.  The weight that I have on now is only temporary.  I can reduce my weight by 50 pounds within the next 10 months by transforming my thinking, executing this formula and excepting nothing less then my own reality.  With that in mind the brand new me is a done deal.
